psychobillyjazz 3 is the newest outfit of copenhagen underground icon thorsten

sehested høeg (also known under the alias dane ts hawk or simply ts høeg).

with a steady output of bands, books and various happenings since 1978, ts has established himself as a pillar in danish alternative culture. having been taught to play saxophone by the free-jazz legend john tchicai and being a part of the punk scene flourishing in copenhagen in the early 1980’s, ts mixed these two worlds to work within his selftitled idiom of punkjazz.

psychobillyjazz 3 is coming in extension of a long line of bands led by ts, but it is loud and volatile in a way not seen since his work in the 1980’s. it sees him recruiting drummer johannes østlund jacobsen and guitarist halfdan magnus stefansson, two newcomers on the copenhagen alternative scene. an almost telephatic rock rythm section, both working with a long line of bands, among them being kindsight, bending backwards, great gestures and spiderpeople, and both being a part of the collective movement shaped like a heart.

the album is selection of various live and studio recordings, from the summer of 2024.
